Imagine The Possibilities by Jamie Galloway

I read this article three years ago, and I wanted to post it here. Read with an open  heart for possibilities, and a willingness to have miracles in your life! God bless your week, with big dreams!

Jonathan Costa.

“Allah is not God, Brahma is not God, but Jesus is God,” and in Him nothing is impossible! Miracles still happen today.
Did you know that the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have never ever considered anything impossible or too difficult to do?

He refused prayer but the possibilities of God’s love and power broke through.

Recently, I have been exploring the realm of possibility. This is the place where you begin to think like heaven thinks. When you allow the same perspective that Jesus has concerning all things to flow through your life, is when you are beginning to think like heaven.

A better way to phrase it may simply be having heavenly perspective.

On a recent trip to Manchester, England, I had an experience there that has caused my spirit to ponder this question, “What are the possibilities?”

A friend and I were doing some ministry at a local church. One day we hit the streets. I ran into a young man and felt the Spirit’s leading to minister to him. I caught his attention and began to ask if he had ever experienced the power and presence of God.

“No,” he replied. So I asked if I could pray for him and show him the power of God. He said, “No, not here! We aren’t even in church.”

So, I began to explain why I offered prayer and I shared just how much God loves him. I then felt he had something physically wrong in his lower body. He explained to me that he had a problem with his knee. I asked if I could pray for him. He said, “No thanks.”

I said, “Are you sure? If I pray for you Jesus will heal you.” Again he said, “No.” I felt led to persist and offered prayer again. He replied this time saying, “No, do not pray for me. I do not want you to pray for me!” I felt faith rising in my spirit and replied, “I am going to pray for you anyway. Be healed in Jesus name.” I quickly moved my hand above his knee and released the presence of God. He buckled in his knee and looked incredibly startled.

“What did you just do to my knee? All the pain is gone. This is crazy man! I had a football injury and surgery and now all the pain is gone!”

He put as much pressure as he could on his knee, bending it, jumping up and down. He said, “This is crazy man. I mean this is stuff you see on television!” I told him how Jesus wasn’t just on television, but he was right here up close and personal. A few minutes later he was walking away and every few feet he would jump up and down on his leg while shaking his head. He refused prayer but the possibilities of God’s love and power broke through. He walked away completely stunned by the close encounter he had with Jesus.

Miracles in Places of Unbelief
The realm of possibilities is opening up to us like never before. One of the greater works that I believe is going to unfold to us is doing mighty miracles in places of unbelief. God’s love is stronger than any power of unbelief, and I believe we are in a time when even mighty miracles will take place in areas where strongholds of unbelief exist.

Jesus promised greater works in John 14:12, “Most assuredly I say to you, ‘whoever believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these because I go to my Father.'” Imagine the possibilities!

A couple of years ago I was in my room praying in tongues. I had asked the Lord to grace me with a few hours of uninterrupted praying in the Spirit.

A few hours had passed and a young man knocked on my door. My brother was having a party down the hall in his room and one of his guests had ventured out. The young man asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was praying and talking to Jesus.

He replied, “Oh, I believe in Jesus. I am a Muslim.” I got excited in my heart and told him to come and check out what the Bible says about Jesus.

He came over and we started reading over the Scriptures concerning Jesus’ deity. He wasn’t completely convinced so I asked him to stand up and let me pray for him.

He agreed. As we began to pray, an angel came down and smacked the back of his neck. The young man fell out onto my bed. Full of the faith of God, I asked him to stand back up. Earlier he had explained to me that he was a foreign exchange student from Iran and his mother tongue was a language called Farsi. I stood him up and declared to him, “I am going to pray to my God that I could speak in your language and my God is going to let me speak to you in your language.”

“You are telling me that Allah is not God and that Brahma is not God, but Jesus is God!”

Just then one of my Pentecostal friends walked into my room and heard what I had said. He began to be incredibly excited. He loved to speak in tongues and was eager to see what was going to happen. I grabbed the young Muslim man and began to speak in tongues. As soon as I started the young man became very excited and started translating to me what I was saying in his mother tongue. He said, “You are telling me that Allah is not God and that Brahma is not God, but Jesus is God!” As I stood there speaking in tongues over him, it physically felt like rivers of living water were flowing out of my being. The young man ran back into my brother’s party with his hands raised high in the air while yelling out, “Praise Jesus, Praise Jesus!”

God Laughs at Impossibility
Now, I want you to imagine the possibilities of a God who loves to demonstrate His might and His wonder. Imagine a God who laughs at impossibility. Imagine a God that is restricted by nothing. This same God fills you and me with all the possibilities of heaven.

One area where God challenges me all the time is the area of my dreams. He seems to always say to me that my dreams are good, but way too small and that I need to lift my vision higher. I think in my heart, “How much bigger is possible?”

I have some dreams that are very big and may seem far away; but to the Lord they are so easy to fulfill. God is looking for a man, a woman, a body, and a nation for that matter to accept the high calling to believe in His bigness. I want to see some awesome things take place in our generation. I want to see MTV get turned upside down with the power of the Gospel. I want to see every orphan given a loving, godly home. I want to see the United Nations join together asking the nation of Heaven’s opinion concerning current world issues. I want to see CNN and the BBC broadcasting day and night the supernatural invasions of God’s power into cities, nations, and places of government. Wouldn’t it be the greatest feeling to come home from work, turn on the TV and you see that CNN is displaying a live feed of a man being raised from the dead while hundreds of thousands and millions come to Jesus Christ?

Start Believing for Bigger Things
We need to start believing God for some bigger things in our generation. I ask you this today, how big is your vision? Is it big enough?

… if you allow God to invade your imagination and cause you to dream and believe for bigger wonders in Him, you will have them.

“Then they said to Him, “What may we do that we may work the works of God?” Jesus replied, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent” (John 6:28-29). I believe that if you allow God to invade your imagination and cause you to dream and believe for bigger wonders in Him, you will have them.

The most practical way I do this is by simply spending time engaging with Jesus. Create a friendship with the Holy Spirit in the most intimate ways. Spend time with Him exploring His heart, asking Papa to develop in you Holy Spirit creativity. Put yourself in a place where you are completely vulnerable to His touch. Doing this will certainly cause your imagination to change and think more like “the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16) . Imagine a place in God where no secret is kept hidden from the bride, a place in our Jesus, our Bridegroom, where we think, act, and look like Him. This is the realm of impossible dreams becoming possible with God.

“He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20 20).
